Local or nothing
A Hamilton dragon has to come out of the mill. A Guelph bird has to come off the river. Imported mascots die in year two.
The studio
BirdSox is the independent, DIY antidote to overpriced, corporate sports branding.
Built on decades of action sports and skateboard subculture, we don't do glossy boardrooms or safe, copy-paste logos — we build tattoo-worthy brands from nothing into points of national pride.
While big-box agencies charge premium rates for sterile corporate polish, BirdSox delivers raw, hyper-local identity design with a sharp, authentic edge. We create the unforgettable, slightly unhinged sports properties that fans don't just buy merchandise for — they swear allegiance to.
The firm started the morning a Guelph club went up for sale and a new Canadian league was forming. Domain in hand. First identity work submitted in Longueuil. The rest is the book you can walk.
BirdSox is Newfoundland-born and Montréal-based. That split matters. One side knows what it is to have a place talked over. The other lives in a bilingual city that still deserves clubs with a soul. We draw for both.
Two products, one studio. Identity: names, marks, kits, merch. Place: stadiums, 365 hubs, districts like Victoria Castle. The CBL trademark mess was the spark. The work is connecting those visions to partners who can actually build.

What we believe
A Hamilton dragon has to come out of the mill. A Guelph bird has to come off the river. Imported mascots die in year two.
Youth kits, Saturday mornings, a jacket a parent keeps. We design for the whole clubhouse, not just the highlight reel.
A mark without a place to play is merch. Domes, heritage walls, Victoria Castle, a promenade a city can repay. Identity and infrastructure together.
“Re-imagine teams. Re-energize communities. If you can see this, we likely already have a campaign engineered for your property.”
